"there is a pleasure in the pathless wood, a rupture in the lonely shore. there is a society that none intrudes. For the deep blue sea and music in its roar, i love not men the less but nature more"

Lord Byron

Doomed warrior

He did his promise; his face is covered with satisfaction but he is almost grounded now. Still he is able to smile with no regrets because he knew that he done the right thing. He knew that he will be remembered forever with no doubts.  He let Arjuna to kill him; he wanted to keep his word till the end, he wanted his mother to be happy with his brothers. Yes, he is dead now; Karna, the generous; the strongest warrior, the greatest human and the responsible son. Now he is down to earth. His story is over now.

“One of us will die!!” his voice is cycling around her mind. She is a failed mother; she knew that. She can’t keep the pain inside now. She is about to burst. She is cursing her lust, the moment it gets over her mind and body. Karna, her first child is dead by his brother’s hand. She knew that she is the reason for his death; the humiliation he suffered. No answer exists here for his questions, she knew that. Tears started flowing from her eyes. “Forgive me, my son” .She screamed alone. Asking for forgiveness is the only possible exit, but he is no more here to give her the way out from this melancholy.  “Where were you, when I need you the most?” It keeps on repeating like an unlimited loop.

Arjuna roared with elation. He cornered his strongest enemy. Now, there exist no walls in between him. The war is almost over and it is already written to his name. But, how did it happen? Why Karna didn’t take his divine weapon, Brahmastra? How his chariot wheel trapped in soil? How his arrows penetrated Karna’s amours? Arjuna is twisted with so many questions. He found happiness in no faces. His confusion started growing deep!!

It was not because of Arjuna; it was Karnas fate. Despite the excruciating pain, he thought about his guru’s comfort. He felt mercy on a crying child. He was merciful, he knew that it was Indra who was cheating on him but still he kept his character by giving him his inborn Kavacha and Kundala. Yes, the generous Karna is no more.  Arjuna is shocked to find the fact that he had committed fratricide. All the taste of victory faded far away.

“You knew what was going to happen and you could have prevented the war.” Gandhari, the mother of loser’s side; her entire family was perished in that war, asked Krishna. The answer was a simple smile, a small curve on his face. It was that curve, that smile that carried the answers of human mysteries.

P.s-An adaptation  to "KochuThomban", A chapter from Booker prize winning 'The God of small things". I love that chapter, only that chapter, the way she put her words in that chapter, the way she simplified it,the way she Imagined it. My respect!

The fading stick

India, my homeland was hauling this curse for the last long one year. Heartfelt thanks to our next door heroes, in the end, after the long days of stress and strife, after all those emotional hassles; our precious gem, master blaster Sachin Tendulkar put a full stop on world’s strenuous century battle. Now you can sit, relax and watch the game, you can read next day’s newspaper; you can go back to your work and talk about the game to your fellows. The 100th 100 curse was over. I wonder, now what on earth makes the leading news on our adored puffed up game. Yes, we got this youngest, tough, middle finger up warrior, Kohli! He will be the tomorrow’s news.

Talking about cricket, I have no right to lift up my words against it because I’m an Indian and according to me it’s my national sports. Once we were ruled by British and its one of the scars they left for us. The story is straightforward.  They (British) came here with guns and bombs; they stole stuffs from us, killed our people, raped our women, destroyed our culture and played cricket here. Then the feeble super hero of all the time, father of my nation, Gandhi, came back from South Africa after finishing his studies. He left his career for us, he left his cloths for us but nothing happened.  But when he left his food for us, British faced the real dilemma. The entire nation stood behind a man with an empty stomach. British were forced to disappear, so they divided our land and left a cricket bat in the border. That’s it; the spirit of cricket was born. Now cricket is the enormous redemptive power of sports in India. It breaks barriers; it cures the damage and forges pride in almost every Indian hearts. Each and every corner of India is now carrying the essence of cricket. We got a God, numbered 36,001, from cricket; a god who hates to give taxes. Cricket defines Indian sports now, it’s everywhere.  The passion; the tension; the elation of Indian people. We are the champions now; one year back the entire nation was screamed blue. Now, more than just a game, cricket is religion and culture here; a culture which spreads the dirty fragrance of British colonization.

But what if we refer a General Knowledge book or Wikipedia page about India, it’s something else written out there as our national sports, something named Hockey. How did that happen in a country where people are frantic about cricket?  How!! Our national game is underrated or it’s faded? Still they are playing well but why it’s not coming to the main stream news? (Yeah, I know it’s there at that corner, I read newspapers sometimes.) When we compare our national game with the so called emotional game, can u imagine the importance of Hockey? It’s there at the foot and that’s the ugliest truth. To the media, why is it Important to make Hockey as the Headline news when more than half of the nation is not even interested in it? We can’t blame media, they need a market to sell news. How Hockey did become the national game of India? A question will soon arise. Maybe in the future another question will arise like, what is this Hockey thing? We need to go back to the past, to the black and white era to find out that story about Hockey.

Why India celebrating August 29 as national sports day?  If you ask it to the man called Adolf Hitler, the Fuhrer will take his hats off and say this name, Major Dhyan Chand because he was there in that special VIP box, watching his Germans hopelessly overrun in the Gold medal match by an Indian team. It was 1936 Berlin Olympics Hockey final and India washed out the game with a stunning 8-1 win. The poor hosts can at least proud about something; they scored the first goal against the unbeaten Indian team in that Olympics. It was a big team effort and the man behind the game was no one else but the Lizard of Hockey, Dhyan Chand.  At that time Olympics was the loftiest stage for athletic performances and Chand utilized that stage to the full extend.  He was a humble soldier from Jhansi, he played the magic with a Hockey stick, that’s why in Honor Vienna made his statue with 4 hands and 4 hockey sticks. The story of 1932 Los Angeles Olympics final was even worst, India scored 24 goals against the hosts of which Chands contribution was 9. Before that India crowned 1928 Amsterdam Olympics too, and the man behind these three Olympics was no one else but Chand.

After watching that astonishing game from Chand, Hitler offered him a German citizenship and Conoel position in German Army, but he obliviously refused it with a smiling face. He was not born with a hockey stick in his hand, he first played Hockey after joining the Army but after that it was an inexorable run.  In 1948 when he played his last International match, he already scored more than 400 international goals in Hockey.  No wonder why India celebrating sports day on his Birthday. He is a real gem beyond compare and controversy.  I don’t think he is underrated, but just like all other heroes he himself faded to the past.  It was not a fault, it’s hard to remember all those warriors in a country like India but without him the story of our national game will not be complete.

Why is it important to bring him into the main stream news? Giving him a Bharat Ratna in honor and let his spirit rest in peace somewhere at the corner of this nation is not the good idea to follow. A Bharat Ratna award is not that important point here. He deserves it but promoting the national game is the best way of respect that we can give him now. London Olympics is here; together we can pray for our team to repeat the history. Our team needs our support, encourage them and trust them. Don’t let the stick to fade. It’s our national game and it has a story to tell; the story of the Lizard.

Fragments

My astrology said “this will make my day”. So, I thought be it is. Well, I’m not going to tell what the fuck it is. So if you are expecting some suspense thriller like a Nolan movie, please I’m not the right person. I have no story inside. All these days, I have been searching for a good focus to write. Good topics that will get thousands of views and comments .You know like every blogger out there I can also dream. There is no point in dreaming craps but still it costs no penny. So, today I have determined to write about nothing. I don’t have any idea about my subject of preference. Maybe it is movies, maybe music or politics or love or some craps like that. I have no clue. I’m sitting here with an empty and impossible mind.

It was Valentine’s Day. I can’t make it my area under discussion because I’m a breed of “fuck valentine’s day” class. Of course I’m single and that’s the chief reason to hate that day. Well, I’m happy now! I don’t want to shower love in my life, so with a pain inside I’m leaving that topic behind. Don’t confuse with my little pain, you know everybody likes to fuck around a little.  Then, love is a big subject to write but I hate that word and I wanted to be hatred in my life. I don’t want anybody to love me, which include my parents, relatives and all. Now you may think, I had a very disastrous childhood and all that stuffs. But I have to tell you, I have the best parents in this world and they gave a great life to me. I have a very good family that loves me a lot but still I never claimed that. Love is not a give and take strategy. According to me love is just to give, otherwise what is the fucking difference between love and business? To hell with love, I need to light something.

In every means, I’m a kind of loser. A loser is the one who didn’t even try. I can easily say I’m the fucking one. When I was a boy, I never ever think about losing anything in my life. That was one hell outta positive energy that I had at that time. Today, I’m confused with my state of survival.

"I'm Supercrap and this is my super list "

It’s been so long days since i had this thought about movies. I mean to write about movies in my damn fucking blog. Well, hope today is the day. Movies are something that i admire most from this modern world. Picturizing your imaginations is not that easy think, so i respect those who make movies. It's like the collaboration of art, not in a specific category but from all sides coinciding to a point. Well, not speaking too much about it in this running high mode. Making a list of what you had done is the worst thing ever. But, i have planned to do some worst things in my life  so, here I'm making a list of the movies i liked the most. I know, which means no sense in this pretty damn fucked up world. But still its my fucking blog and i don’t mind to type in it. Don’t think i’m stranger than shit, I’m not. Maybe, I’m funny not bunny and that makes no difference at all.

Well, to talk about movies, I’m crazy. I’m crazier than Tyler Durden. Thanks to IMDB for its great contribution in the same. To a movie maniac, IMDB is an ocean of knowledge I swear. Ok, I’m not gonna make this crap the worst of all, so coming straight to the point.  I have a big fucking list of my favourite movies. Thats all i got in this life, some lists.  I just put them in some damn fucking order but it means nothing. But, my list start with AVATAR and that film is my best movie experience ever. Well, some of you maniacs can’t agree with me, i know. I already spoke to someone. You say, 11 years and 3 Oscars were too much fun for that movie, but I say, “Watch it from IMAX asshole”.  Some movies are made for something, avatar was one damn hell of an experience, I swear to Clint Eastwood. Maybe you won't believe because i have no evidence to convince you but that night, i was living in Pandora and i was not ready to get out. Well, not so much craps, i just finished it.

Then, Darren Aronofsky is my favourite director and Natalie Portman is my favourite actress. To the favourite actor part, still the game is on and so many of them are still on the field including Al Pacino, Robert De Nero, Brad Pitt, Eastwood, Edward Nortan, DiCaprio,  Morgan Freeman, Jack Nicolson and so many. My list includes films of many languages and i found them very interesting to watch. In my dreams, I have directed so many movies of which Requiem for a dream, Scarface and Fight Club are my favorites. If you ask me to pick a favorite movie when i'm sleeping, i will say the title "Amaram" . My favorite superheroes are Batman and 'V' . My favorite attractions are Joker and Anton Chigurh(No country for Old men). My favorite heroes are Walt Kowalski(Gran Torino) and Alexander Supertramp( In to the wild).

My favorite dialogue is;

"I'm Supertramp and you are my super apple" (In to the Wild)

Above all these, i have to spot out something from my homeland. Something like Legendry. Bharathan and Padmarajan, those two names where above all for me when i'm talking about movies. Bharathan, the way he captured nature, the way he expressed human emotions, i adore. Amaram is my favorite Bharathan movie, i have already talked about it and it's surely a Classic.

155 is not a bad number, i think. Numbered according to the way i like those movies.Remember, these numbers has no role in day to day life. Numbers, they just make this life a miserable thing. So just Ignore it, but AVATAR still leads in this game. Well, this is just the beginning of a list, I have decided to add more in the future. But, its still the fucking me.
